The clients for this design project were a young couple. Among their wishes, Ihor and Alesia indicated:
The studio team proposed the following solutions in the project:
The apartment's hallway is spacious — 12.18 m2, and we utilized its area with maximum efficiency. Against the wall opposite the apartment entrance, we placed a roomy cabinet with a compartment for a robot vacuum cleaner, a mirror, hooks for outerwear, a wardrobe, and a bench with a compartment for shoes. We additionally provided for another floor-to-ceiling mirror. A cupboard will be located on the boundary between the hallway and the kitchen, concealing the boiler and providing enough space to store an ironing board.
Despite the lack of a natural light source, the hallway looks bright and cozy. This is achieved by the light shades and wood texture in the design, as well as well-planned lighting. The decorative elements in the hallway include a minimalistic wall clock and a few open shelves with decorative backlighting.
The laundry room, with an area of 1.81 m2, turned out to be maximally functional. We provided spaces for a washing machine and a dryer, a heated towel rail, and several shelves for storing towels and various accessories. For the finish, we chose porcelain stoneware tiles mimicking stone. They look minimalistic and stylish, and porcelain stoneware is one of the most practical solutions for such rooms.
In the kitchen-living room, which measures 19.30 m2, we used contrasting color combinations, as requested by the clients. This technique makes the interior more visually pleasing, and the combination of several colors helps to zone the space.
The dining area is located in the center of the kitchen-living room, featuring a concise extendable table with a round veneer MDF countertop and a solid wood base. The spacious corner unit not only provides plenty of storage space for groceries, appliances, and various kitchen utensils but also creates an ample work surface. Cooking on it will be extremely comfortable.
The main visual accents of the kitchen-living room are the upholstered furniture (a comfortable corner sofa and dining chairs with elegant, rounded backs), as well as the design of the TV area with the television and console. A modular painting called "Forest" was suggested as a decorative element in the seating area.
Particular attention in the 3.95 m2 bathroom interior is drawn to the accent wall with a mirror, for which we suggested using porcelain stoneware tiles with a spectacular marble-effect design. The cabinet, painted in the shade Ocean Blue, echoes this color. These two elements create a stylish contrast to the light tile that finishes the rest of the bathroom. Considering the clients' wishes, a full-sized bathtub was provided instead of a shower corner, along with the installation of a rain shower.
Another interesting solution in the bathroom was the rejection of a standard heated towel rail. Instead, we provided a warm wall — a heating system executed using underfloor heating technology but mounted directly into the wall.
The interior of the home office, measuring 9.99 m2, turned out to be concise and functional, creating all the conditions for comfortable work. The working area itself features a desk with space for a computer, a wall-mounted cabinet, and a comfortable, ergonomic chair with textile upholstery. The niche to the left of the room entrance was utilized efficiently — a wardrobe was suggested to be placed there.
The extendable sofa not only serves as a comfortable resting spot. Its deep blue color creates a contrast to the gray shades that dominate the office interior. Another decorative element is the Egger Lava Grey U741 ST9 chipboard panel, complemented by hidden lighting and a painting.
In the 14.91 m2 bedroom, we managed to place numerous storage solutions: a chest of drawers, a wardrobe, bedside tables, and a TV stand. Even the stylish ottoman near the make-up table can be used as storage — it has a removable seat, and various small accessories can be placed inside. The core color palette in the bedroom used white and gray — a classic combination of neutral colors that never loses its relevance.
As the clients requested, the design project for the loggia includes the organization of a cozy workspace. Within the 5.88 m2 area, we provided a desk, an office chair, several shelves, and a marker board. The main visual accent of this zone is the photo wallpaper featuring lines and leaves.
The clients like contrasting color combinations, and we took this into account when developing the color palette for this interior design project. The main color in the design of the hallway and kitchen-living room is GRANIT 50 from the Caparol 3D-System Plus color collection. The green wall in the TV zone is colored: PINIE 45|L63 C22 H114. In the interior of the home office and bedroom, we used the colors GRANIT 50, GRANIT 10, GRANIT 60. In the bedroom, the TV area is finished using OFF WHITE 50. Soft and cabinet furniture, as well as decorative elements, were used as contrasting accents.
Well-thought-out lighting using several types of light sources is a very important part of any good interior design. Thanks to this, uniform lighting can be achieved in all rooms, the space can be visually zoned, and stylish light fixtures can also serve as decoration. In this project, the studio team used:
Well-designed systems allow for smart organization of storage in the apartment, keeping everything unnecessary out of sight and thus not overwhelming the space. Wardrobes are provided in every room: the hallway, bedroom, home office, laundry room, bathroom, and storage in the kitchen is handled by the spacious corner unit.
