This project was developed by the studio for a young couple, providing a comprehensive turnkey service: design development, renovation work, and custom furniture manufacturing. Among the main design wishes, Roman and Oksana specified the following:
Taking into account the clients' expressed wishes, the studio team proposed the following solutions during the work on the project:
The interior of the entrance hall and corridor, with a total area of 9.94m², is not overloaded with unnecessary details; it features only the necessary minimum of elements. The entire length of the wall to the left of the apartment entrance is occupied by a spacious wardrobe for storing clothes and shoes. Thanks to its laconic design, it doesn't draw all the attention but harmoniously complements the decor. Near the wardrobe, a full-height mirror was placed, and next to it, a compact console table and a comfortable pouf.
The minimalist interior of the kitchen-living room creates all the conditions for comfortable relaxation. It utilizes techniques for visual zoning of the space - a combination of different finishing materials, shades, and lighting scenarios.
The living room, with an area of 15.75m², is divided into two zones: a lounge area and a dining area. The former is represented by a corner modular sofa, a minimalist coffee table with a round top, and a rug that adds coziness to the interior. Wall panels, whose design echoes the facades of the kitchen unit's upper cabinets, a painting, and hidden decorative lighting help create an additional accent in this area. The dining area with a table and comfortable chairs was suggested to be placed near the window.
Despite the small area of the kitchen (4.04m²), it was managed to be made convenient and functional. To provide enough storage for kitchen utensils, the project suggests using a corner unit with a mezzanine, and built-in appliances. The facades of the kitchen unit are combined - grey and wood-look. This combination looks stylish and attractive, and it harmoniously fits into the minimalist interior.
The bedroom, which has an area of 12.95m², is decorated in calm, neutral tones that will not interfere with comfortable rest. The main element in it is a bed with a soft headboard. Gypsum 3D panels on the wall, as well as a pair of long pendant lamps in the loft style, help create an additional accent on it. Opposite the sleeping area, we provided a compact dressing table, a console-chest of drawers, and a tall mirror.
A walk-in closet with an area of 2.16m², equipped with convenient storage systems and additional lighting, adjoins the bedroom. It is separated from the sleeping area by a transparent glass sliding partition.
The guest room, with an area of 10.97m², also serves as a home office. Taking into account the clients' wishes, workspaces for two stationary computers are organized in it. The working area is visually separated from the rest of the space using a desk and wood-look wall panels. They are made of the same material and together form a cohesive composition.
In addition to the desk, the design project provides for a spacious floor-to-ceiling wardrobe for storing books, documents, and other items in the room. For relaxation, a sofa from a Ukrainian upholstered furniture manufacturer was suggested. A floor lamp with a metal shade, bringing notes of loft styling into the interior, was chosen to go with it.
In the loggia adjoining the kitchen-living room, which has an area of 2.39m², the studio team organized a relaxation zone. The project provides for the placement of a comfortable bean bag chair and an original side table with a metal top in it. To protect against blinding sunlight, it was suggested to hang simple Roman blinds with a light-reflecting effect.
The bathroom, with an area of 3.27m², is designed in grey tones. We provided for a compact bath 1500x700 mm, a toilet with an installation system, as well as a vanity unit under the sink and a cabinet above the installation system, all according to individual designs. The grey furniture together with the stone-effect porcelain stoneware created a stylish composition, which was harmoniously complemented by white and black sanitary ware. Built-in lighting was additionally provided, making the bathroom interior even more expressive.
Shades of grey prevail in the interior, which we diluted with flecks of wood texture in the form of flooring, wall panels, and furniture. The shade "White Aluminium" (RAL 9006) was chosen as the main color for the walls. Most of the cabinet furniture is in the color "Lava Grey" (U741 ST9), and the wardrobe in the entrance hall is "Black Graphite" (U961 ST2).
The project provides for the simultaneous use of several lighting scenarios, which will allow for quality lighting of all rooms in the future, changing the degree of their illumination to suit the mood.
The design project provides for the placement of custom-made cabinet furniture in the apartment. Its manufacturing was handled by our studio. Thanks to individual dimensions and design, all storage systems fit perfectly into the interior, and additionally, they allowed for the rational use of every centimeter of space.
In this project, we managed to realize all the wishes of the clients, and it has already been brought to life thanks to BORISSTUDIO's in-house renovation team. You can view the results of the renovation on this page.
